Captain Lupe Gonzalez is originally from Mazatlan but has been fishing in Cabo for almost 30 years. His largest fish to date is a 712 lb blue marlin. Lupe has also landed tuna up to 280 lbs, and his largest dorado weighed 59 lbs. Lupe speaks good English, is polite, and has an easy going personality. Especially worth noting is that he won the 2021 Bisbee's with a 489 lb blue marlin, resulting in a US$1.2 million prize for his team. During that tournament, Lupe was awarded the Top Captain disinction.
