Jose Antonio "Pepe" De la Peña Castillo is from Cabo San Lucas, and has a calm, unassuming manner, until he has a fish on the line! He speaks English well. Pepe has captained vessels ranging from 28 to 75 feet and is well versed in all fishing techniques and safe boat handling.
Pepe says this about fishing: “Fishing is in my blood - I have been doing it since I have the ability to think, but professionally, since I was 23 years old... I love finding new and different ways to land exciting catches".
If he had to pick a favorite fish to catch, which he says is a difficult question, he would choose Yellowfin tuna, Black Marlin and Cabrilla (Grouper).

Dulce was born in the state of Puebla, Mexico, but has been in Cabo for nearly 20 years now. She has been working professionally on Sportfishing boats since early 2020. She has been with the Chasin Tail Crew for 4 years now and they make a great team. Dulce loves fishing and is just as excited as her anglers that come aboard. She is attentive to anglers' needs, welcoming, kind, and always makes sure you have what you need. She speaks English ok and works well with the crew for anything needed during the day as well; fishing or service related.
Jose is new to the professional Sportfishing world, but that doesn’t mean that he is not eager, attentive, and working hard to fine-tune his craft. Captain Pepe, who is very well-respected in Cabo as one of the best fishermen in town, is a great teacher and has taken him under his wing. Jose says he is very lucky to be working under him and that even in his short time fishing professionally he has also found luck in landing some very nice fish. He says that one of his main goals for his anglers is that they feel comfortable and safe. He loves getting a smile out of his anglers and putting them on the fish.
