Born in the state of Nayarit, Captain Beto came to Cabo San Lucas at a young age and began fishing in 1990. He learned under one of our legendary Captains of the fleet (and Cabo!), the now retired Julio Castro, who passed on valuable knowledge to Beto on the Cabo fishery. 

Beto is well recognized in the fleet and in Cabo as well, one of the top Captains year after year for dorado catches, as well as Marlin. These are his two favorite fish to target, but he is well rounded in all different species; for example, one of his best days he landed two Yellowfin Tuna  well over 200 pounds in the same trip. Beto loves giving his clients a good experience on the water, not just meeting their expectations but surpassing them. He speaks decent English.

In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and playing Soccer weekly.
