Captain Juan has been fishing since he was 14 years old; he was born and raised in Mazatlan, Mexico. He grew up fishing alongside his father and grandfather, who were also sport fishermen. He remembers distinctly, sitting alongside his uncle on days on the water and learning about how each different fish took the lure or bait and being able to distinguish between each, just from the bite and hook up. Juan is passionate about fishing, and by that, he explains “ I love fishing, not necessarily just the catching, but the challenge of it all as a whole. Finding the fish and making my clients happy. Sharing that experience with them.” His favorite fish to target is Yellowfin Tuna with the Kite, but he also enjoys Light Tackle fishing inshore.
In his spare time he enjoys going to his ranch in the mountains of Cabo, where he tends to chicken, goats, pigs and more.
