Super Successful 2013 For Standard Cruisers….the Winners are?

PISCES STANDARD
CRUISERS HAVE A SUPER SUCCESSFUL 2013 AND THE WINNERS ARE….

At the end of each year we have awards & recognitions as
we look back & study the catches from the previous months.  If the fishing in 2013 could be summed up in
one word “consistent” would be it. Our standard charter boats, the 28ft
Uniflites, 31 ft Bertrams & 35 ft Valerie are our most popular vessels
& enjoyed a fantastic overall catch success rate of 94%, with the top boat
placing even higher at 98.11%.

These were the results for our standard cruisers.

Top Overall Boat Pisces Rebecca with a 98.11 overall catch
success rate. Shown below Captain Jose Ramon Alucano (J.R) & deckhand Luis Cota – well done guys!

Top Billfish boat Pisces Tracy Ann with 583 billfish. Shown below  Captain Julio Castro & Mate

Martin Gonzalez

Top Dorado boat Pisces Ruthless with 850 fish.

Shown below Captain Leon Camacho & Mate Beto Lira

Top Tuna boat Pisces Tracy Ann with 1001 fish. Second award of the night for this crew of

Captain Julio Castro and Mate Martin Gonzalez

It was extremely close with just one or two percentage
points between all the boats.

As is our custom we did what the guys love best, a carne
asada (barbecue) get together at our boat yard to celebrate the successful
year, spend some time together have a few laughs & beers & of course
recognize the winners in front of their peers. Gray Taxidermy were kind enough
to provide us with fabulous trophies like those awarded at fishing tournaments.

These numbers prove that the odds of catching
fish with Pisces are extremely high – we were amused & proud earlier this
year when scientists told us that they could not use our catch rates as the
norm, because we catch more fish than other boats/fleets. They study our
figures & also come to Cabo & make stats on boats coming in by checking
their catches. So what do we attribute this to? First of all to our
knowledgeable, hardworking crews, plus our boats go out a lot, which means on a
daily basis they know where the fish are & as with anything the more you
practice the better you get at it. Another important factor is that we have no
fuel/distance restrictions. We go wherever the fish are within day fishing
range. With some of the lower priced boats that you can rent from different
vendors walking around the marina, you get what you think is a good deal, but
often these cheaper boats are restricted to
fishing no more than a few miles from Cabo to save fuel.  So don’t hesitate, give us a call or drop us
a line to set up a fabulous Cabo fishing trip – here’s to an even more
successful 2014!
